The bang and the clang when a round ball from my flintlock hits the steel target and makes it dance.

This one just cannot be beat.

I share quite a few with some of you. A couple of mine not listed:

Repetitive sound of waves washing up on shore
Ocean smell of SE Alaska
Ominous, foggy mountain tops
Whistling wings of ducks cruising overhead, especially just as the sun is coming up

The look in any of my daughters eyes. They are their moms!

The sound of all the gunfire at midnight on the rez at new year.

Another new one for me is actually being able to hear the bullet thump a coyote or hog when shooting suppressed. It’s almost addictive. Of course, you can also hear a miss, which is not a sound you want to hear.

That thump when you made a careful shot on a nice deer

The pinging of lids from a finished batch of canning.
The call of a Loon.
The cheep of a night hawk.
The whistle of a bobwhite quail.
Whippoorwills singing.
The smell of a fur house.
A baby's first cry.

a puppies breath.
There's millions of them and could go on forever.
The smell of bacon and eggs , with a whiff of Hoppes in the back ground, on opening day as a kid.
We used to get opening day of small game off from school.

That musty fall smell

Acrid shotshell smell
Howl of a coyote
Dew on a spiders web
Bouncing red in the snow
Neigborhood kid on his 3rd J of the day smell, Lol.

A baby's laugh is the sweetest sound in the world.

Hearing a genuine thank you or compliment

Hearing the morning fire crackling from under the blanket at -40

The smell of cedar on a campfire
Grandbabies cooing
Grandbabies running
A good meathouse with salt cured stuff
Using spring taters to plant fall taters now
Freshly plowed ground right before a rain
Fresh cut grass
Smell of fresh water when its really hot outside
Catalpa worms and yellow grasshoppers

More firewood than I will ever be able to burn stacked, seasoned and ready to go.
