Yes there is one. And they’re a little slow at even returning emails. They hold their fur sale in Lonoke I believe

They have a facebook page that gets updates. There is a fall convention in Mulberry AR this weekend sep 27-29, I’d have to look back to see the location. I’m not a member so I can’t give any info on much else, but that’s where I learned about the convention. I spoke to a Charlie Bass that was helpful also, you may find his number on their website Why aren’t you a member?

Anyone know if there is one ?? I’ve contacted numbers on web with no response any help from y’all would be appreciated Sounds about like the same lack of interest shown by the AGFC. They give out Predator Control permits to AR landowners to help with reducing predators, especially nest robbing predators, as they need all the help they can get to boost the turkey population. And everyone knows that no one is trapping for money from hides. Yet, if one wants to use a trap to reduce predators, they have to buy a trapping license, and if a landowner, who happens to be a non resident, they have to spend $125 for a non resident trapping license. Several states give some type of waivers/ benefits to landowners, regardless of whether they are residents or not. Not Arkansa. The NR landowners are still paying AR property taxes.

Resident trap license is free, but have to buy $10.50 conservation(?) license to get free trap license.
Southwest Arkansas trappers may join with the east Arkansas trappers association.

There are at least 3 organizations in Arkansas. The NTA Southeast Regional is this Friday & Saturday, the 27th & 28th in Mulberry at the Crawford County Fairgrounds. It should be somewhat bigger than the standard yearly convention put on by the ATA (Ark Trappers Assoc.-the largest state group). It would be a great opportunity to see, learn, and stock up. $10 for 2-day admission; 12 & under free.
