Handling of snakes and drinking of poisons is a misreading of scripture. Acts is describing God's protective guard of the saints not a sacrament to be done.

Imo, any type of apostolic church whether it be the Roman catholic church, the Mormon church, Pentecostal, or any other flavor, is way off-base and should avoided.
This included any church or teacher aligning themselves with the "New Apostolic Reformation" (NAR).

On paper apostolic, as in direct lineal descent from the original twelve, sounds nice and I would hope my faith is unbroken to that time in practice most are false claims supporting individuals rather than God.

I might consider playing with snakes if I could walk across a 6 lane highway blindfolded in rush hour, and then jump off the church belfry just to prove to myself it was Gods will that I do so!

Why do I never see those "snake handlers" take up the other part of that same scripture verse that says, "and they shall drink deadly poison and it will not harm them".
Just once I would like to see them take a big gulp of Jim Jones kool-aid. That would show some real faith... and certain death I'm guessing.

BTW, Most translations of the bible will have a footnote right after Mark 16:18 that says, "this verse is not found in the oldest and most reliable transcripts of the book of Mark".
