Looks like the price of a tag went up and they dropped the 2 turkey tags that came with the license before, more Bidenomics ? LOL No big deal really never shot a turkey during the archery season anyway don’t much care to shoot most of the deer I see where I go to. Freezers full of elk meat probably just a donation to the game department anyway unless a shooter comes on by.

Turkeys have been hurting the last several years so I understand the need for the change still going to spend time with friends.

Was doing some mowing and brush hogging of shooting lanes about 80 miles north of where LD is..........and for first time in a long time.......kept seeing one or more turkeys moving back and forth between brush patches behind me. Can't remember ever seeing them there before. Deer yes.......turkeys no.

Quail were all over earlier in spring and early summer. Not seeing or hearing them now.

Now you have to buy them separate. The non announced reason is that turkey numbers ares still down. You can now hunt all day in the spring now though.

I may hunt deer in Mo this season, its been around a dozen years since last time.

I know turkey numbers are down statewide but ironically for the past 2 years the turkey and quail are thick around me. Maybe keeping the coon and possum thinned out is actually helping.
