Those look pretty slick. I guess a guy could cut the notches a bit to fit other traps.

Great on the MJ with no loose jaw for tweaking the pan when setting.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

I got a pair when arthritis developed in my hands. I’ve used them on duke 1.5 ,2 and #4 I got to catch some beavers for the city that flooded a housing project. Worked great on all 3 sizes

Problem, I have that kind of setter and it does not fit the duke #3. No way does it work with this trap. Is there a different model [Linked Image]
or company that makes one to fit the duke trap?

The levers go right in on mine. You are saying they don’t go into the slots ? Look at the link I posted. Click on the second picture

Just looking at this pic your levers on the trap are a lot smaller than the slots I’m out of town or I’d post pics

The levers of the trap fit in but as soon as you apply pressure the lower corner of the trap pushes against the upright that has the slot and the trap flies out. I am going to take a trap apart and try it with out spring pressure and see if it is possible to use this. Our Supreme leader E-mail me another design that he uses and I will contact them......jk

It has to do with the angle of the levers on some traps. The round rods on the setters hit the trap in the jaw tip area. This causes there to be pressure on the round rod of the setter. It rolls off on some traps.

You must have it on wrong. The short one goes on the right side with the rod up and to the out side. The long one goes on the left and down with the rod to the outside. Pull the long one under the bottom of the trap as you push down on the short one. They come together on the right side of the trap even with the bottom. I have never had a trap jump out. Used them hundreds of times. THe rods cannot make contact if they are turned outward.
