Got the preproduction price - $405 plus $20 shipping

Delivery approximately early to mid September , according to website.

Will post any shipping updates and pictures plus an in hand review when I get it.

Anybody else confirmed getting one ?

I thought about it

I wish they made one more rugged , tough , worn , manly, unique.....looking

I just haven't found what I'm looking for

The parka is great though .....traditional

I'm trying to decide which color I like most, red or black.

I almost went with the red.

Tough buying something online , would have loved to see it in person first. I hope my choice with the black is right.

I ordered the green one $600CAD shipped. Last I heard from Dave Bewick a couple weeks ago was that they may be making some in Winnipeg, was just waiting on a couple more quotes. Crazy cheap shipping. It costs me $24 to send Gibb in Ontario 7 little bait spring clips, and sending a hat in a box to WA state was $12…..lol. Any package shipped up here needs a tracking number, to the US it’s not required.

I have wide shoulders and I'm short at 5'8" so always end up with a jacket with enough extra room in the belly for a beach ball having to get an xl so I can move my arms and not feel like I'm going to rip out the back. so I prefer to be able to try things on in person.

The Groenewold Coyote trim parka arrived today via UPS , my preferred shipping company for me.

The coat is nice , I was worried about the fit being small but to my delight it is actually a tad large over a T shirt which means it should fit perfect with the layers you wear when it is very cold. It is fairly long , comes to about 1 inch from my knees which is nice to stop those waistline drafts in the winter. Four pockets on the front , lower ones are good size , could hold a full sized Glock and have magnetic catches which are nice when wearing gloves. Upper handwarmer pockets are big enough to put your gloved hand into. Inner 'shoplifting' pockets are decent size , each could hold a smaller pistol like a Walther PPK , 4 inside pockets. Coat is very warm with the goose down , tried it out quickly indoors at about 68° and had to take it off within just a few minutes. I do not recomend this jacket if you are south of the Mason-Dixon. Fur collar is nice , really pops , hood has pulls to make it tight. Quality of construction looks good.

Some pics , tried to get some different views than the ones on Groney's website.
A couple flash photography vs non-flash photography to show the reflective bits.

One caveat - when I saw this , I was at first not happy.
[Linked Image]
Thought about it for a bit and realized very little clothing is made in the U.S.A. anymore.
But China ?
Thought about that for a bit and realized that having it made in Mexico , Sri Lanka or Vietnam wouldn't have much of a difference and I bet Groney sells a lot of furs to China and knows some people who make garments.
I have Milwaukee battery tools from China. If the company wants the China supplier to make a quality product they will because that is what the buyer demands.
Quality looks good.

Still available at the preproduction discount , don't know how long that will last.

I'm hoping Shakeyjake gets his jacket soon and posts some comments and pics.

Nice! They said they’d send me shipping info once mines shipped. “Made in China”? The last time I talked to Dave B, he said they got a good quote from a Winnipeg manufacturer and were waiting on a couple more.

I received my red one yesterday and I love it. The black looks good and black goes with everything, but if anybody was considering the red, it gets my approval.
