if you can to both sides of that you can rivet in a patch fairly easy.

box of rivets a drill , air chisel , bit , good size hammer and some marine epoxy

I just bought aluminum brazing rods do you think it would be water tight if I braze it?.

I keep an ammo can in my boat with basic tools, a Chamois cloth, elec tape, fuses, shear pins etc, and a SPARE PLUG!

For those that may not know, a Chamios will filter crud out of gas, and absorbs water from the fuel, while letting the fuel thru.

Clean it up to bare metal real good before you braze and it will be fine. If possible I like to hit it on both sides

you can probably braze it also , and have it work fine.

I have not used the aluminum brazing rods

and having done transoms and such I have all the stuff to do rivets , you just need a road sign for a patch

I'll just braze it since I have the rods and I'll going to try JBweld underwater the reviews I read were good on it.
