My Dad trapped then. A mink would bring $30 and men were working for a dollar a day

Didn’t watch the bud yet, lacking time. But some of the greatest trappers were quiet and never spoke a word about their line. Ur was a very competitive time.

One of my heroes , Walter Rosenlof is of that era and didn’t share much until his later years. Long story short, he did very well financially back then. North central WI, he had remote areas he went and mostly went alone. Those guys did a lot with very little. I was always impressed with how minimal his equipment was.

The only thing worse than losing........Is QUITTING!
