The 20 year old rookie for the brewers is putting the team on his back. Hit his second hr of the game to tie it in the 8th. Hopefully the veterans take note and get going.

Lowly brewers young guys continue to carry the team which means bad things for the rest of the division for a long time….or until their contracts come up. Thankfully Chourio is locked up for 8 years. Amazing what they can do with a payroll a third of the Mets.
With the studs they have in the minors, I was thinking next year they would make a good push so anything this year is a positive. While many questioned why Meyers wasn’t pitching tonight (he really has been most consistent pitcher), it doesn’t hurt now that they made it to game three.

Peaking at the right time is important, I think the Phillies peaked at mid season.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

ADC, which team should I root for tonight? I want the team to win that the Phillies have the best chance of beating.

That's a tough one. They both are awful. lol I bet you'd have better luck vs. the Mets, due to knowing how to pitch to them. Those young guys on the Brewers are new, thus not everyone knows how to pitch them. They will figure them out next season and them youngsters will struggle mightily then. If you don’t know how to pitch to a player by 162 at bats, you probably need a better analytics department. If you still haven’t figured it out after 162 games, you probably should just eliminate that entirely. lol Got a pitchers duel going into the bottom of the 6th knotted at 0.

Williams has too many control issues to be a closer in my opinion. I don't understand Murphy's infatuation with him. He makes every outing a nail biter.

There was a reason they did so well without him all year. He has one good pitch but when he can’t throw it for strikes, he gets hit hard. Good news for Phillies as both bullpens will be shot.

The bullpen has 2 days to recover, that is plenty of time.

If history is any indication, the Mets are going to the World Series. Brewers have a way of losing to the team headed there. It’s too bad they can’t play themselves, but some how I think they would still would find a way to lose. Lol

The Phillies will have to bring their "A" game to beat the Mets. It won't be easy. Not sure I buy the rest theory, I think the Mets will be pumped after that dramatic win in Milwaukee.
I think the Reds made a good hire in Francona to manage their team next year. The Reds like the Brewers have some young players that look as if they will be future stars.

Game one between the phils and Mets was quite the pitchers duel u til the 8th when the Mets batted around.
Going to need some late innings magic to come back.
