Watching TV this evening and saw an ad for Christmas trees!!! It is the 29th of September ! Halloween is a month off!! What gives?

Even worse - they were artificial trees. Balsam Hill- a company I will never support!!!

I work in retail. Lowes, to be specific. They set up their Christmas last week, directly across from Halloween. So one side of he aisle is Halloween, the other side Christmas.

They do it, because people buy it, plain and simple. The closer it gets to the holiday, anything unsold will need to be marked down, resulting in a loss for the company. By putting it out early, they can sell more at full price. Consumers have been swarming the Christmas aisles since they've been set.

Do I like it? NO! But, from a business perspective, I absolutely understand why they do it!!!

If you want to be mad at someone about it, be mad at the people buying Christmas decor in September... NOT the businesses capitalizing on their stupidity.

I detest advertising. I try not to watch or read any of them. Its easy to spend on stuff you don't need as it is. They all have a common theme. Spending money will make you happier. Will elevate your standing among friends neighbors and even strangers. Something we are almost all susceptible too.

Christmas trees are the main display at my lowes already. Up where the bbq grills sat all summer.

Walmart was putting out Christmas decorations at
the same time there putting out Halloween decorations.

Christmas is a depressing time because it means another Fall has passed and hunting season is over for another year.

Check out Hobby Lobby, they set out their fall and halloween crap in july...

I dislike the whole Christmas marketing concept. It's more of a retail event than a religious celebration. Just my opinion.
