Grandparents where teachers
Parents are teachers
Wife's a teacher
Bother is working on a music PHD so he can be a professor
And here I am just a humble towboater
Thought I'd escape the whole teaching thing....
Nope ,got me out here white boarding diagrams going over procedures and all this stuff .
I mean, it is pretty nice seeing the light pop off when something finally clicks or figuring out how someone learns ..... But man maybe this teaching thing is a bit of a family curse or something laugh

you'll never stop teaching! i went into the air force and got plumbing. went to tech school and on the 2nd week our civilian teacher had a heart attack. got a military instructor to replace him. he found out i had just completed 3 years of plumbing in vo-tech at high school. got made into a student teacher! did 14 in air force, got out and got a job at a state prison, as a plumbing trades instructor. left there and went federal prison as a plumbing supervisor. ran a apprentice program for the dept.of justice. never did i ever think i'd be a teacher! now i teach a lot of trappers at our trapping schools. it never ends.

Mama, three grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers all teach or taught. Told mama I could never enter the family business.

I have discovered though that I do enjoy teaching. Back when I was training trapping techs or now teaching beekeeping at my local clubs. It's true what they say that if you want to learn then teach.

I thought you were still a boat rookie?
