I have a guy who has crows tearing up his yards for grubs . He actually watched them ripping up the sod . We hung aluminum pie plates throughout the yard but isn't deterring them . Cannot shoot because he lives in town . Any sugestions would be appreciated . Thanks

It looks like crow season is open in PA, shoot one somewhere else and hang it at edge of yard (effigy). I've only done it once at a golf course, it worked well until a patron complained. It was removed and the crows came back.

Plus one, it will also keep skunks for digging grubs in your yard.

Might also want to figure out why he has so many grubs. Might be something simple to change like overwatering.

I have 4 customers with extensive lawn damage , some from crows some from foxes and all the rest of the grub diggers . The common factor is that they all use True Green who supposedly spray for grubs . I have found lots of grubs under the sod . They're all going to switch lawn care companies . Is it to late in the year for them to pursue the grub control or should they get it done now ? Like I said it's in the city so shooting is out of the question . But I was particularly interested in a solution for now to keep the crows out . Thanks guy's appreciate any suggestions

Might try laser harassment, they are pretty smart birds, shouldn't take too much to move them along.
