I pay them off every month. I have an Amazon card for nothing but Amazon purchases.
A Cabelas card for other things I charge as I get points towards Cabelas purchases.
A FNB Visa card that I never use but have just in case of emergency. Checked it tonight and there were 4 charges on it all fraud. 3 to Amazon I know were fraud as I use my Amazon card for Amazon purchases and one for Kindle books
Never bought a kindle book in my life. I challenged the charges and canceled the card permanently.
Keep a close eye on your cards guys. It's only going to get worse.

It is interesting that I NEVER use my CC but I had it hacked just about a year ago and all the charges were to book stores.

Credit card companies make money on fraud, that people don't catch, so they are less diligent about notifying users of potential fraud, then they should be.

I have one but it is my debit card, not a true CC. It is getting to where many gas stations and hotels will only take plastic, not portraits of dead presidents.

I use a debit card just ain't going to go into debt just for a rating to go deeper in debt. I don't exist according to the credit bureaus.

In this screwed up world today you need a good credit score.
Just only use a credit card for small purchases , that you can cover easily every month.
A bank will charge you less interest than any credit card, but you need good credit to get that loan if you need it.

I had a charge on my cabelas card about a year ago the card company notified me and wanted to know if I made the purchase I said no the card was canceled and a new number issued.

That's another thing, you need to watch your charges all the time, at least every couple of days.
I see a charge I know I didn't make , I call right away.
Changed card numbers a few times because of fraud .

I get 2% back on my card. I've redeemed thousands of dollars back into my account. It adds up fast when building houses. I do get fraud at least once per year. Credit card companies are much easier for getting your money back. Your bank is another story. My card got skimmed at an ATM and the thief made their own card. Made 2 maximum withdrawals from ATM. One at 11 pm, one at 1 am. I found out 7am. Took a week to get my thousand dollars back. I wasn't sure I was going to get that money back.
Hackers hack into QuickBooks and write themselves checks on the company's dollar. Those people never get their money back.

Not in my experience. I've had it happen three times, and two of those the c.c company notified me before I knew it happened, asking if I'd actually made the charges. The third time was a smaller charge that I noticed and they took care of it easily.

I use a couple of cc, one just for my business expenses and one for household use. Both have text alerts on any purchase of $10 or more. My business card got hit 2 days ago for 734 at a shopping mall. Card got canceled immediately and a new one issued. Pain in the butt but ya gotta have one to do any kind of business in this world nowadays.

You can use a credit card and pay it off every month. That's what we do. No debt involved. I have a scheels credit card that I use for all my daily stuff, and I get scheels gift cards though it. I just cashed in about $400 dollars worth of gift cards to buy my oldest buy a 10/22.

Thats what I do. Keep the balance 0 and use cash back to treat myself. CC's are safer than debit cards. It's easy to pay them with your checking account online. if you have a little self discipline you get some of the interest others are paying.

CC are a lot like a coyote set. You want to be the coyote that steals the bait without stepping on the pan trapping yourself.

My Cc called me after they froze it on the 3rd sale of suspicious activity, Popeyes Suppliments, a candle store annd expensive tennis shoes. Got my $700 back. I use a separate card for anything trapping related….all a tax write off. Super easy to keep it at $0 balance. Within 5 seconds of using it, I get a txt of a pending charge, then I transfer the money to the card when I get to the truck, all over the phone. Easy to keep track of for tax purposes.

Here it's gotten to the point without a credit or debit card you can't go apple or pumpkin picking, visit the Aquarium, or get a mcdonalds at a rest area. it's not right, probably not legal but most people don't carry cash anymore, especially young people....we've had to replace cards 3 times in the last 10 years, with a credit card it's not a problem, it IS annoying....

Only carry a debit card. Every transaction is sent to my wife’s phone making me reluctant to ever use it. Bad enough the government tracks you with the Dang things !

If they dont take cash, walk out. Ive done it several times. There is always someone else that will take cashola.....
