Them are both fine looking guns, thanks for posting. Yeah, and bucksnbears is envious of most everyone on here, he really should get over it, but most of them never will.

So that was a new rifle chambered in 257 Roberts? Last I checked you could buy neither 257 Roberts loaded ammo or brass. But that was a year or so back. But implication was, it was fast on it's way to becoming an obsolete caliber. Seems odd they would be selling new rifles chambered in that.

lately i have been checking every few months to find one for a decent price because i still really want one as its a peice of remington history. hold onto the money put it in an envelope mark it what it is for so when the next one comes up you can grab it the economy is definitely not what the news says it is , guys are bringing in guns to sell at stores all the time now so things are moving out of peoples safes once again. call around to a couple local shops tell them you are looking for a 76,760, 7600 I had been looking for some time and never saw much , unfortunately I got this one a way I would have preferred not getting it , a friend died and I was helping with his estate. I didn't even know he had it so no way of knowing his wife didn't know , I think this was actually his dad's rifle.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I carried a 7600 in 270 win. It was a late 70's model. It was my dads. Great gun. Shotgun trigger, but for snap shooting hogs it lays them flat, one after the other. Super light, free floating barrel, easy pointer. Anything inside 450 yards doesn't stand a chance. One of many guns lost in a fire. My guess is if it was truly in the 70s....it was probably a Model 760. I believe the 7600 came much after that time frame.
