Hate that Blonde stock, however well figured it is!

That was my gun, but the iron sights were taken off and my dad put on synthetic stock before he gave it to me. For such a simple gun the cost of them now is ridiculous.

hold onto the money put it in an envelope mark it what it is for so when the next one comes up you can grab it

the economy is definitely not what the news says it is , guys are bringing in guns to sell at stores all the time now so things are moving out of peoples safes once again.

call around to a couple local shops tell them you are looking for a 76,760, 7600

I had been looking for some time and never saw much , unfortunately I got this one a way I would have preferred not getting it , a friend died and I was helping with his estate.

I didn't even know he had it so no way of knowing his wife didn't know , I think this was actually his dad's rifle.

My guess is if it was truly in the 70s....it was probably a Model 760. I believe the 7600 came much after that time frame.

The rifle has no will of its own it may be used for evil but there are more good men than evil men and evil will be corrected by good men with rifles.

Only 250 of these 257 Roberts birch stock 75th anniversary were made that's why they're so rare and expensive.
Made only I 2009 the year I was born.

I'd love to have that gun and I'd use it to smash Savell's lil pinky toe. Yes Sir we finally have a darn cold front and I'm not gonna sweat the small stuff (if Hiedi is a half pint then "Wilbur" isn't but about 6 tenths)

A good shooting Roberts will make you nevermind about the looks. That little round can do a lot, is extremely predictable, and has basically no kick. You can watch fur fly off a critter thru the scope and collect your prize flat on the ground where you last saw it.

As far as the trigger goes, you can replace the trigger spring for one meant for and 870/1100/11-87 skeet or trap gun (I think it is the yellow spring) and it will make a big difference in the trigger, still not a target grade trigger but a good trigger for that type of hunting rifle. I put one in my 7600 in 35 Whelen and was pleased with the outcome especially for an investment of about a dollar and a half.

at your age , a rifle that is of good quality that will take all the game you are likely to have available in a common cartridge that is a good tool and not necessarily fancy , I know it may be boring but it will serve you well making memories and memories of the hunt or times spent with your friends and family hunting , shooting ,fishing , trapping , whatever your pursuit is are what really matter.

there is also the "My Precious" syndrome , if you go fancy you might be afraid to really carry it and use it , a hunting gun really carried and used , gets a little Character as it is often called.
I can remember putting the first scratch in my 30-06 I felt sick when I did it , the metal zipper on my hunting coat did it. now I can't even tell you which one it is , I cold blued over them so they are light not seen right way but there are a bunch , it happens and you stop worrying about it.

there will be many shiny items in the store front , pick what would be a great tool for you from it's abilities and what you are looking for in a tool. then go enjoy life.

start with a list of some common calibers that will do what you want
features like where you like the safety
ability to readily mount an optic
if you like blind mag or detachable
