this is a Remington 7600 75th anniversary pump action rifle chambered in .257 Roberts

there was one of these for sale a while ago at my local Cabela's and I did some research on what it was and wanted to share!

once in a lifetime..jpgworlds most beautiful gun 1.jpg

The rifle has no will of its own it may be used for evil but there are more good men than evil men and evil will be corrected by good men with rifles.

Looks like you just took it out of the box let us know how it shoots. I always liked pump rifles but I have only shot them in 1906 win .22s and old Remington.22. There is just something smooth and natural getting on target with them on running shots on rabbits.

Not sure how open sights would agree with my eyes any more though.

Is that new manufacturer and something put out since the bankruptcy or is it new old stock?

I carried a 7600 in 270 win. It was a late 70's model. It was my dads. Great gun. Shotgun trigger, but for snap shooting hogs it lays them flat, one after the other. Super light, free floating barrel, easy pointer. Anything inside 450 yards doesn't stand a chance. One of many guns lost in a fire.

Them are both fine looking guns, thanks for posting.
Yeah, and bucksnbears is envious of most everyone on here, he really should get over it, but most of them never will.

So that was a new rifle chambered in 257 Roberts? Last I checked you could buy neither 257 Roberts loaded ammo or brass. But that was a year or so back. But implication was, it was fast on it's way to becoming an obsolete caliber. Seems odd they would be selling new rifles chambered in that.
