Another great day, daughter graduated hunter safety last weekend and today she harvested her first deer during the youth season. Great evening sit a buck and a fawn were milling around in the acorns the buck didn't present a good
shot opportunity so she decided on this one, one shot dropped where it stood. Super proud! [Linked Image]

She has on an orange vest but looks like it might have fallen down a bit when she was jumping up and down

this may make it easier to look at.

Congratulations dad There is not a better feeling in the world than your kids first deer. Tell her a bunch of smelly old trappers she doesn't know are very happy for and proud of her. Hopefully you took the time to do an anatomy lesson when field dressing? Keep the pic coming I'm sure she will be filling more tags.

Does she also trap with you?

Yes she does trap with me, she helps skin coon too. She most certainly helped field dress the deer although she has help with several over the years since she was about 7. She was the one giving the anatomy lesson to her younger brothers who came to see her deer. They got there within about 15 min of the deer being harvested, I had text my wife and they were all excited and came to the woods to see the whole thing. She helped skin the deer and process it last night. I would say she's on her way to a great set of skills and a lifetime of adventure. Thanks Providence for rotating the picture, couldn't figure it last night.
