Didn't know you bowhunted. That's great!
Best of luck.

Beautiful morning to be out! Saw a gray fox when it was still kinda dark. A button buck , and a four point. Came home for some lunch. Gonna go back out this afternoon. I hate getting into the woods in the dark but I also don’t wanna miss those glorious mornings! I’m not crazy about going in when it is dark either. I just scent up and walk in at first light. Sometimes they follow me to the stand. lol

Best of luck. My compound bow is a Matthews Hammr, it was my anniversary present LAST year. We went out with it but I didn’t get a deer last year. One little Doe handcuffed me. I was sitting in a chair in front of a thicket. She came down a trail but went behind a big tree instead of in front of it. So I had no way to draw back. She knew something was wrong and came stamping at me and snorting. This went on for what felt like ten minutes. I sat stone still just grinning ear to ear. She came within four feet of me. When she finally had enough and bounded away I could do nothing but laugh. Best hunting experience I’ve ever had!

glad your getting out. Dinner sounds good. Next weekend in KY youth season so I'm likely to end up down there called and talked to a few WMA areas we hunted in the past. Things sound good. but ti get off nights Friday probably11am. then have to drive 2.5 hrs home load up get the boys then drive 3.5 hrs back and down into KY after getting off a week of 16 hr nights . scout before it gets dark and be ready to hunt in the morning. It's a lot but worth it.
it's our guys trip of the year. I was late on day so got two incidents so can't call off for a while or I would call off Thursday night. I need to check and see if those fell off yet. It would be nice to find a good place closer than 3.5 hr from home.

I just spin it as I’m walking in to the stand.
