Victor snap traps with the yellow pan and peanut butter. Those plastic traps stink, the latch always wears out after a few uses. Or breaks.

Just snagged another mouse. Nuttella did the trick, they seem to be completely ignoring peanut butter, I'm unsure why. My dad turned me onto the Nuttella, he claims its the best bait ever.

IV had the same experience with peanut butter. I bet it's the vanilla extract in the Nutella.

Those are still my preferred trap when though I've had some mice that have started to avoid them. I've watched them avoid them and glue traps.

This is my current choice for baited traps. For the mouse to fire the trap they have to lift up the the bait door to set the trap off. Little peanut butter and a few pieces of cat food works well

I dont bait those. I run them like blind sets. Set them perpendicular to the walls with the pan against get the wall. No bait needed, most of the time.

Got another mouse in the plastic trap with Nuttella, they've totally avoided peanut butter for two weeks, butter and Nutella though have been connecting!

What mouse species, sounds like maybe a house mouse?

Guess I'm not real sure, I'll have to look into identifying mice more in the future.
