Trapper7 OP trapper T Joined: Dec 2006 MN, Land of 10,000 Lakes	Anybody use any type of bait when trapping them? One fellow trapper I know said he often will put some grass or alfalfa in front of the pan of the trap. He feels that has worked for him on some sets. I've tried pnut butter in front of the pan with mixed results. It's been months since I bought the book, "How To Scam People On Line". It still hasn't arrived yet.

20scout trapper Joined: Nov 2017 West Central MN	A slice of potato or carrots but anything starchy seems to work the best. I don't use bait very often but it does help for catching some of the educated ones. Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
