So I'm standing on the spot I had a dirt hole, caught a coon two nites ago, this morning I had a f. pup and a brand new hole under the high fence 8' away.

I can only deduce that she liked my smells at the set, wind was right, and dug under to have a look see.

Her mistake i guess. For the record I had preserved fresh muskrat in the hole with Wayne Derrick's Caprock and M. June's gland lure at the set.

If it was a pup, it may have been the adult digging to try to get over to it. Just a guess and I am NOT a coyote guy. I hate those butt sniffers.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Thought about that scenario too, it's dispersal time for them so I don't know if the adults care too much at this point what the young do. If it was an adult I have more work to do.

Would it be worth putting an apron on the high fence to prevent predators digging in. Most of the beagle running pens around here use apron fence to protect the rabbits.

One leg of this ranch has it on the opposing side. There are still dig unders, not as many tho.
