I have several old Blake and lambs #4 jump traps that I want to use for beaver drowners… I would like to switch out pans to a paws-I-trip pan system but I don’t see the B&L #4 listed on F&T website.. can anyone tell me if it’s possible to install or if they make one that will fit or work?

I just bought some from Ed Medvetz. He has exactly what you are looking for. I could not find them at other places and his prices were cheaper too. $50 and $9 for shipping to Alaska.

Yes, it's easy to fit them. There are a couple of videos on Utube that show how to do it. Really simple, take off the old pan, weld the new bolt holder piece down and put it together. Simple and a really good improvement on the jumps. Tell him you heard about his products from some guy in Alaska!

I did these 19 years ago according to the date on the picture, thus, I can not recall the correct combo of pan and dog. There was no welding, just wrap around the frame. Paul Dobbins is the one who told me what I needed to buy. I imagine you can PM him and ask.

Same set up as in ADC's picture, just with a tack weld added to the cross piece.

Ed gives you the option of buying a set with a flat dog or his stainless steel rod dog that is coyote proof. Your choice, same price.

Mr. Medvetz is a true innovator/manufacturer and has an immense amount of trapping experience and knowledge.
His products filled a niche that was needed for us trappers....thanks Ed!

That’s what Ed uses is jump traps! He likes them,I’d recommend the stainless rod dog & the step down pan (which isn’t listed in most catalogs). Call him he’s a great guy!
