I have always thought putting the demons in the poor pig herders pigs was a jerk move. They and their families probably suffered greatly from the loss of their livelihoods.

And yet they showed no joy in the man being freed front the legion of demonds.
I think Jesus had compassion on the herders for not casting the demonds into them.

It seems the man possessed was a representative of Christ taking on the sins of the world.
The sins - demonds are cast into the swine and destroyed in the sea.
In Revelation it says there will be no more sea.
Jest food for thought.

There are 6 window areas that rise to the top with 7 points on the top of the tower.

This may all be coincidence, but I think not.

I could be mistaken, but the seas/waters represented chaos and a place that the demonic resided. I believe part of the reason for walking on water and calming of the storm while on the boat was to show that Jesus has dominion over the chaos filled sea.

We know that when demons go out of people they go through arid places looking for a new home while disembodied. If the demonic prefers to reside in the chaos of the deep and knew Jesus wouldnt allow them to go into someone else, the pigs may have been their only way to return to their "home" until they could find a new host. Thats just me shooting from the hip on a thought I just had though. Im not holding tight to it

Good observation sportman.
It seems to be a spiritual thing for sure.
Also when sins are hypothetically washed away in baptism, where does the dirty water go?
Speaking hypothetically.

I generally don't respond to these discussions after iv went ahead established what I thought I needed to.
It's really human nature to bring in our own prospective and experiences. I certainly have and it has been a tool of wisdom in dealing with people. How I have come up with personal convictions for myself, etc

However this afternoon I thought of something that addresses the comments on unrepentant sin. I want to be clear, I don't Hitler is in Heaven. I don't think he ever did trust Christ as his Saviour. He was likely never represented with the gospel.

God's Word teaches that willfully, unrepentant saved individual will be taken to Heaven.
1 John 5:16
"If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.”

There is a line we can cross and God will snatch us from Earth. I don't think anyone here implied this, so please don't think too much into this statement but we can't ever assume someone is unsaved based on actions. Or assume the hearts intent based on anything we see.
Judge not, that ye be not judged.” me 7:1

“And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Mathew 18:3
Gods plan is for the child, the simple and the intelligent. It's not hard. God made a way because it was the only option to restore us to Himself.
I hope y'all a great afternoon smile
