Was walking around the gun club property and found where something (I am thinking raccoon) dug out an old campfire pit. There were bits of charcoal in the dirt. The digging sure looked like a classic dirt hole set.

Haha, want to see some serious digging, drop an egg down a hole.

The weekend after our rendezvous is always interesting, they'll dig out the fire pits where bacon grease was poured in the pit. Like little hand grenade craters.

Set a trap.

A lot of woodchucks dig practice burrows- coon's a good guess.

If there wasn't any charcoal, I would maybe guess woodchuck. Its in an open field, mowed grass, about 20 yards from the woods. Classic coon. And there is also lots of grub digging sign in the field also. Next weekend the DP's go out.

Season opens next Saturday. I am pretty tempted to drop a 1 1/2 in that spot, and maybe a little bait in the hole.
