A new breed of bat crap crazy.

So just completed a field trip that involved travel thru a few big cities. Rolling down the Interstate......3 to 4 lanes wide......speed limit 60 but everyone doing at least 70 to 75........a few in the far left lane....80 plus......then here they come.........guys weaving thru the traffic doing at least 90 to 100. Had several cut me off by inches............cutting across all 3 or 4 lanes........their cars actually leaning right and left as they bust thru. Sometimes traveling in pairs......making me wonder if this isn't some kind of race.

So who are these guys?

The only thing that shocked me is the lack of 100 car pileups that would make NASCAR blush with envy. At that speed......one little mistake and everybody dies.

Could it have been Cathryn racing her competition to her favorite ramp selling corner???? Lol

I deal with it everyday. Yesterday pulling away from a stoplight, guy with a camper trailer pulls out of a gas station in front of me. No problem for me but the car that passed me mashing on it missed broadsiding him by inches. Everybody is in a hurry. I see at least one accident before tow trucks clear it when I am working in KC daily.

Scary part is there really isn't room to pass.......yet they were doing it anyway. And not stop and go.......doing 90 plus and not slowing down. I'm in my lane.....overtaking car on right.......about 2 or 3 car lengths behind him........guy in my lane swerves right....misses my back right bumper by inches......blows past me on the right and then cuts me off right front. Misses me by inches....misses left rear bumper of guy in right lane by inches.......working his way up thru the traffic doing that across all 3 or 4 lanes. Cheating death by the second............might be a hot car.......might be a rice burner clunker. Bat crap crazy.

And I really don't care if they want to become a grease spot on the road........just hope they leave me out of it.

In Georgia using turn signals means speed up the fool is trying to change lanes. Not using them is an act of self defense.

Worst I have seen was on I-294 in Chicago. Have been passed on right there on off ramps and shoulders. All doing 90 to 100 plus. But seems to have spread to every major city.

But still wonder who these guys are. Home grown with death wish or imported from other parts of the world.

The worst in Atlanta are the high end cars. If you see a Maybach or other high end car just get out of the way they honestly believe they own the roads.

let's just say Have someone's poor driving kill your 16 month old and put you and your wife in icu for 2 weeks and your comments won't be safe to post.

I remember getting pulled over for going 80 in CO. It was down hill and I didn't even realize it. Got a criminal speeding ticket .

Agreed. That was what had me worried.......one hiccup and a whole lot of people were going to get hurt or die. Not funny.......not funny at all. And as near as I can tell, nobody doing anything to stop em.

Without a doubt Houston and Atlanta have the worst drivers in the U.S.

Best advice for driving in Atlanta, know what lane becomes your exit lane on the other side of town and stick to it.

I was actually impressed with most of the drivers in Chi town and even on the Jersey Turnpike. In the middle of Chicago and in bumper to bumper every other driver was allowed to merge (includin me with a pot load of the rankest bulls on the planet no less) and on the turnpike up and down the Jersey Shores ppl would git to the correct lane b4 they got to a toll gate.

Not so much in DFW, Hou, or anywhere on I-35 N of SA or from about Bourne to the Lousiana line on I-10.

Speakin of my cow truckin days, Danny are end dumps to high to play my fav gear jammer in the big city lights game of let the beehive bulb blink 3 times and then try to touch a front seat window with it? I always lost the battle but won the war LOL. By the time I thought I'd make contact poof they'd be gone but I had an open lane.

Hasn,t changed much leftlane. Sometimes you turn the signal on wait a bit and start crowding folks. I dont like doing it but sometimes its the only way.
