Labs love to retrieve, they were bred for it
Heelers love to herd, they were bred for it.
Hounds love to hunt, they were bred for it.

What were pitbulls bred for?

So you just like seeing dogs dead.

Guess that’s cool. Just hope for your sake it isn’t one of mine that you think was a pit.

Won’t end well for you. Lol

Haters gonna hate.

My lab could bite you, he will also retrieve a goose. And if you mess with my kids he will bite you.

If he does it out of duty to protect he gets a treat. If he does it and it wasn’t warranted he gets my foot in his (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman).

Have a good one ProGov. I am hunting deer in the morning. I hope no scary dogs make you feel like you need a safe space.

I've got a friend that has had several over the years he has had them turn on him and one bit his 8 year old granddaughter. If a dog bites me for no reason it's days on earth are over let alone my grandchild. There are to many breeds of dogs out there that are suited for families other then pits.they get used in the dog fighting arena all the time.

I look at a pit the same way I do a brahma bull. They both serve a purpose and have a place. That place ain't running loose in the city or around people.

What were pitbulls bred for?

They were bread for drug dealers.

They were originally The Butcher’s Dog. Bred to catch livestock. It comes nature to them, training is not necessary for that, however they are very trainable for other commands outside of what they love. If you step on their tail when they are laying on the floor in your house they will yelp like any other dog but when they “engage” they are oblivious to pain.

We can go round and round on pits, I've seen great ones, bad ones, and good ones till they weren't. pretty much like any breed. Except when one snaps they are basically uncontrollable. It's mostly the owners that are the problem, they won't cull the iffy ones, maybe some of the owners need culled... cool

All pit bulls need to be made extinct. How many more people need to be seriously mauled or killed? A few days ago another man died due to a pit attack. And don't give me that "It's the way they're raised" nonsense either.

They are great if handled and used for what they are for. Killing hogs and such. They are not a family pet people try to make them into. Every single pit attack the people say how sweet it was and was just a big baby until it killed their kid. Never have I heard someone say yea that one worried me. So I don't want then around me or my place but would love to get to see them in action killing hogs with an experienced handler. I absolutely love all former of dog work.

Few people should have them that use them for what they are for and know how to handle them..

Guy at work had a Cain Corso sp? was making an appointment to have it put down because it nipped at his neighbor they have a shares drive way and that tells me it's a very small house in town with small yard The guy has no business with that breed of dog and has no idea how to handle or train them. So that dog died all due to owner failure. I would rather see the moron put down than the dog because he was so dumb he thought he could get that dog and keep it like a smaller dog without drive. Dogs breed for purpose need a job and hand that understands then I'm my opinion.

After seeing 2 different "well trained" pits attack other dogs for no reason, I tend to agree.

You can train a hound to retrieve , and a heeler to hunt, too. But what were they originally bred to do?
