There is no conversation to have. All pit bulls are dangerous and potentially deadly. Every time I've heard of one going nuts the owners say the same thing. "He's never done that before, he just snapped!"

Instead of making insults, maybe make an argument?

They are not a pet. Having one should be regulated like owning a Big Cat or a Bear. I am a previous owner of the breed before they were a household name and am well aware of the punishment they can dish out. The only thing worse than that is the punishment they can take.

So far this is one of the better responses. ^^

Just gotta ask...
Why would a normal person want a pit?

Or a dobie, Rottweiler, ect.

I'll tell you why.. it's because they feel the " need" to tell people.., I've got a pit ,dobie,Rottweiler. whistle
Kinda like a vegan, or a corvette owner, sitka clothing wearer, longbow shooter, ect.
Sooner or later, that topic will be brought up.whistle

Back in the day before the cut ears and spiked collars we just told folks they were mutts. People didn’t need to know what they were.

I don’t know that is best for all of them but I feared who might end up with mine so when I gave them up, I put them down.

So you guys are in favor of restricting a person's freedom?
How are you going to word it so that it did only affects owning a pitbull, and can't be used to usher in more restrictions on your freedom.
Because if the law can restrict what breed of dog you own, they can also restrict what car you can drive, or what types of guns you can own. The possibilities are endless. The fact you guys tout the constitution, but are totally in favor restricting your own freedoms because of something you dont like.

My dad had a pincher when he was a young boy. It pulled him out of the canal, he was about to go under the road and the dog grabbed him and pulled him onto the bank.

Keep painting with your broad brush guys

I don’t get the broad brush deal. It’s a very specific breed that everyone is talking about. And it is bred for a specific purpose.

Not sure how old you are but they have laws about the cars we drive and the standards they must meet to be on the nation’s highways. Try again but this time really put some effort into it.

Well heck..
This topic has been controversial for many years.
Anyone grow up in a city/ town before a meat packing plant opened up?
Did it help or harm the community?

whistle

Kinda different but not really..., think wink

Sounds like you had a good Pit, 2bit. Maybe you're a attentive owner. Doesn't qualify everyone to have one. Heck, I'm for regulating all the guns . .... from criminals.

Problem isn't laws it's nonsensical ones.

Freedom to not be gunned down in your school.

You guys just don't get it. This is no different than the people trying to take your guns away. You are using the same arguments

I'm not responding anymore to this thread. Anti gov, it's been a pleasure debating with you. You hold a good argument. Hobotrapper, you're a jerk.

I'm curious about the butcher theory as IV only know them for bulls taming

I'm going to look it up

Since it was mentioned twice

All those in favor of the FREEDOM to put down any dog “trespassing” inside your social barrier without consequences, say I.
