In my working days I had to work hard to be around people. Most of the day I was on the phone and being with people, sending contracts and in constant communication one way or another with people.
My nature is a lone wolf introvert type of person. Now I retired early in life and I'm even more of a lone wolfer. Lol I do some volunteer work and get around people some, but it exhausts me by the end of the day. I had a call yesterday from a Foundation I was a Board Member of for many years and they want me to come in to visit about some business they have completed. I just hate too but I will or maybe I won't. Things like this I dreed of being an introvert.

I actually am a social person when I have to be and good communicator and get involved with people but would rather be doing my own thing in the out of sight out of mind environment.

I would bet there is a lot here that are like this here. How are you built???

My circle of people I enjoy being around shrinks weekly.
swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

I hear ya. I meet people everyday in my self employed business. But that doesn't mean I like it.I'm content being tucked in the woods with my wife, dogs, cup of coffee and a nice cigar.
You can tell on here who needs people by their endless posts.
I'm comfortable in my own skin. The recent storm allowed me to get rid of a few so called friends. They were all about themselves.
Being an introvert is a good thing in today's fake society.

You described my life pretty well I function around people just fine but I don't care to be around many especially crowds or any cities. I hate going to town even when I do I make it quick. When I’m leaving the house and I’m at the end of my driveway my first thought is when will I be back home.
One on ones or smaller groups are no problem but non outdoorsmen bore me to death quickly phony people, liars, rude ones and bullies I have no time for that much stupid I’ve dealt with other peoples BS my whole adult life some are too stupid to live it seems like. I know if you’re real or not in the first 5 minutes often some take a bit longer.

I don’t hate people and I am willing to help anyone I just don’t seek people out even if I need something I’ll just do it myself or do without. Nothing I can’t walk away from if it means selling myself short in the mix I won’t do it.

I spent over 50 years working with lots of people as an insurance agent. Since I retired about two years ago, I enjoy being pretty much alone trapping pocket gophers, making walking sticks out of buckthorn, playing my piano, etc. We've been running our local food shelf where I stay in the back room boxing food and let the others deal with the people. My wife works part time and when she's not working we go fishing, just the two of us. Like Law Dog, I don't like crowds anymore.
If removing guns saves just one life it's worth it. Then if deporting illegals saves one life is that worth it?

Most of my life I've trapped and worked seasonal outdoor jobs.I've always done well communicating with peaple but prefer the solitude of the trappline and working alone.
I enjoy fellowship time with my Christian brothers and sisters, and trapping events.
As I get older I trapp mostly public land. It always a struggle to ask permission to trapp.
The biggest obstacle was mean dogs. Today it seems to be way more difficult to obtain permission.
The old common sense peaple seems to be going by the wayside. We have entered an age where peaple are influenced by the little black mirror they stare at all day rather than the real world were most of us old farts have come from. A common sense world.

I'm usually the lady giving compliments to strangers in Walmart. Don't worry, much to what you see here, im not that woman chatting your ear off in Walmart. Just the smile and compliments here and there.
 I hate crowds.

I only have probably two very close friends and a lot of friendly acquaintances. I also can't stand people who are fake and never have been the type to "keep up" with the Jones. So that usually guts a lot of people from my life.

 Now my question is,
How many of you are married to women who are the opposite..?

Actually, to be honest, probably not as extrovert as I appear here. I'm just really happy to be here. It's been years since I've even been connected (no social media) to other people who love this genre of a hobby. In real life it's hard to come by. Especially because I'm a woman. | | |

Mrs L I try to avoid Walmart but I complement strangers where ever I go. To a lady I might simply say I like that outfit or to a child I might say nice boots buddy. If I say anything to another man it's usually a backhanded compliment. I might say Id like that shirt better if I was wearing it instead of you.
Trapper7 I have a little over 20 years in adjusting as an independent.
I like it but after all of that, I like floatin down a river with a tent or hammock and tryin hear fish whisper back to me. No ppl needed.

Interesting about mean dogs. I had a lady who had a beaver problem. They had plugged the culvert and flooded the road going into her yard. She told me to be sure to call her and let her know every time I came over to her place so she could lock up her dogs. She had 3 German Shepherds. She said two of them were fine, but she didn't trust one of them around strangers. The first day everything went fine. My first trap check I called her and told her I was on my way. I barely got out of my truck and here comes the 3 dogs on a dead run. I barely got back in my truck. All 3 dogs looked like they would kill you if they got a hold of you. I called her and after a while she got the dogs back into her house and it wasn't easy. I caught two beaver, but told her I felt there were more. I pulled my traps and told her it wasn't worth it having to worry about her dogs. She would have to find another trapper.

The more I'm around people, the more I like my dog.

Some would be very aggressive, some would try and love on ya lol. And some would treet you like a fire hydrant
