Yes will readily admit I'm a cheapskate but before I spend another 150.00 on another pair of insulated waders wondering if anyone else in the interest of saying money has treated the seams on their waders, where the rubber meets the neoprene, with flex seal?

Absolutely id do that.. but I also always keep my eye out for them in the thrift stores. Not so many waders but I have been able to find them on sale on in the off season.

Water trapping is up and down in the pot hole regions no rats then rats for a few years then no rats again. I get the cheapest hip boots I can find and if they are no good the next time no big deal then just buy another pair.

I would use something like this over whatever glue sealant you use. Unfortunately Kre is right, never lasts very long. But this will extend the life of it.

3M 5200 series sealant.

I've never used that on waders , but 3M 5200 lasts a long time. Spendy , but very durable.

I’ve patched numerous Xtratuff boots, hip, and chest waders from top to bottom with the stuff. It is a good product.

The 5200 takes a long time to cure. They offer a fast cure product, which I don’t care for.
