One good thing about being old without kids is that we won't have to deal with this crap much longer. I feel sorry for people that have to worry about the future for their kids and grandkids.

We need some really hard times to get people back on the right track about what's important in life.

That's a good way to think about it. COVID did that to a point. Got a lot of people to pull their kids from public schools. Forced them to realize they could do it because they were forced to with the shut down.

Yeah, my job tried throwing that garbage at me. Told them it was indoctrination and told them I wasn't going to do it. They had some pushback but I threatened to sue them. Still working there. They figured it out and I didn't have to take it.

Threatening to sue an employer would most likely get some males fired. But, when the "I'm a girl card" gets played, it sometimes changes an employer's outlook on things. Sometimes.

My job wasn't a huge loss. I have religious exemption and I could prove it. That was the difference. Please don't think I'm judging anyone for not pulling the trigger. You can however be encouraged some are pushing back on it.

Haha, when my wife was working for the SSA, they had a zoom meeting about “white privilege.” I was home at the time and listening. They wanted all the white people on the call to take turns and apologize for being white and having an advantage over people of color. I could see my wife getting madder by the minute as folks were actually doing it. She muted herself and asked “Think I’m gonna quit, you good with that?” I told her you do it or I’ll do it for you.
When it got to her turn, she said “Well, it’s like this, I ain’t privileged and anyone who thinks that way can KMA, all I want to know is where to send this computer because I’m not bowing down to anyone.” You could’ve heard a pin drop, lol. The supervisor asked, “Are you resigning?” She said “Nope, that’s too official, I’m quitting and by the way I’ve recorded this BS and will be sending it to every person I know up the chain.”
Not sure what happened after that, but they call her monthly trying to get her to come back to work. She told them she’s content being a stay at home mom and Granny.

Alright! Good for her.
