So lets hear it people-what's your non fish go to skunk bait? I have caught a ton of skunks in my day but always with a fish head etc, in a bait bucket conibear etc..What say you?

catfood, really as long as the skunks are around you will catch them with almost anything

Mini marshmallows work great in a DP.

Anything with a high taint to it will draw them quite a ways.
They are similar to bears in that they need to put on fat and will stay active late if they detect a food source

When trying to catch and relocate cats last week I had a few that refused to work a cage no matter what I used for bait. If you catch one make it a bad experience for them so they are not in a hurry to go back into a cage. Make noise and roll the cage around nothing harmful just an experience they don’t want to repeat over again. This will save you from catching the same cats over and over again.

Anything I’m trying to catch a fox/coyote/cat with.

Banana extract.
Anything that smells like a banana, really.

Not sure about other places, but it has been very effective for me on skunks.

Also, a hard boiled egg.

I have a skunk lure recipe given me by Asa Lennon. I never did mix a batch up because I caught enough skunks in.my k9 set. I will say that I was egg based.

Incubated eggs that didn't hatch, work great for raccoons, fox, coyote, skunks and opossums.

I must have fox hitting my egg dump again, because I have cached eggs all over. In some places, the eggs are placed as close as a squirrel caches acorns, about every 8 inches. They leave the top of the eggs exposed.
