Trappers,

I made a few extra gallons of coon bait this year and would like to give it to the next generation trappers on the kids forum. As so many have done in the past, there is a catch. This is the first year in many that I won’t be able to trap with one of my sons. So, I request two things from you: 1. Write about your best day on your trapline and post it in this thread. 2. Post pictures on this thread of what you catch with it. Your word is bond that you’ll post the pictures and that’s good enough for me.

Your bait options are all fished based, 16 ounces, and consist of:

Heavy fish/crawdad/trout oils
Smoked anise
Cinnamon-Vanilla
Smoked Molasses

hi, i am 13 years old and my best day on the line was when i caught a coon while i was at my uncles helping with the pigs, it was only 9 ockclock at night! i will gladly send you any catch picture you want.

What kind of trap, what kind of set, and what did you use for bait/lure?

It was a bridger dp and I was using catfood but I had it set where a coon trail came from a barn full of straw and there was a nice creek. I also caught a coon by setting a dp on top of the 30 foot tall pile of straw bales because the coons had a groundhog like tunnel goin through it. Caught em using cat food

I was about 12 and caught my first ever raccoon in a box trap! It was a dream come true. Caught it on sardines and was the best day ever. Since then I have caught lots of coon. Can't find pic
