Wife’s uncle gave me a couple dozen dog proof traps. Mostly Duke/lil grizz/coon draggers, but these 3 I’ve never seen before

Maybe home made.
Doesn't look to be a good design. The space where the jaws go would be hard to keep from getting damaged so the jaws wouldn't function.

Round ones are called Trap Master I believe.

Didn't last long in the trapping community.
Back when Lil Grizz was king.

Trap Master is correct for the round ones shown in the photo. I knew I had seen some of that design but had no clue what the name of them was. Here is a video I found once the name was posted.

The round tube DP traps are Trapmasters and the square tube DP is called the Coon Collector.

I watched the Trap master video. It sure didn't take much effort for that ole boy to set it. What's the downside of those traps?

I’m not a fan of the trigger setup of the trap master. I may set them around the chicken coop but more than likely will not run them on the line.

Trapmaster had a few modification suggested.
One was night latch the triggers
Also adding surgical hose to trigger to simulate the feel of a frog leg.
Stakeing was another.
I forced flat tent stakes thru the laps of the coil spring.
I'm not sure any of the mods helped.
But I always used the traps in high theft areas.
Way cheaper if a loss happened as opposed to my Gizz.
Third choice trap behind other dog proofs.
And good 1.5 coil spring traps I didn't want to chance losing.
