It's Washington. Cages only. Not sure if catch and transplant for coon is legal there. It's not here they get caught they are either released on site or dispatched.
Nuisance price are high because of the cage only thing. The coon will die off eventually but not in a nice way. Mother nature in cruel when it comes to critter control as we all know.

but include travel and lodging costs if you have to haul 50 cages out there it is going to cost you in gas and remember you are dealing with a nut who fed coons for 35 years

if you think your ready for that level of crazy train, but I know a few guys that can tell you it can really mess up a hunting season

one guy told the chick he was dating , that it was deer season and he was going deer hunting and walked out the house saying it was over in a week and they could do whatever then, she called the cops fed them a story and he got picked up.

spent the night in jail for her story , when she should have been the one in jail for filing a false report , it all shook out in the end and the DA realized what had happened but it screwed up a year of hunting and shooting and about 5K in lawyers cost.

at least he wasn't married to her

I got another friend who his now Ex wife figured she would start off the divorce with accusing him of hitting a kid at the park , so he was in jail for the night.

that kid had been harassing's his son and he yelled at the kid and took his son and left , she wasn't even there.

well she cooks a good story and again the DA figured it out he is clear now.
it cost him time , money, a night in jail and he has a few more years of this hades left before the youngest of his 2 kids is 18 , the oldest turns 18 this year.

we knew she was crazy , maybe not that crazy but he couldn't see past her other attributes.
he has been walking on glass with everything he does with his kids for 2 years with 2 more to go , can't give her any other reason to cook up a story.

sorry to turn a post about coons into a post about crazy women but , that is really where the coon problem began.

I know a 3rd guy his wife hit him and called the police saying he hit her , he waited 2 hours for them to get there patently on the front lawn so he could go easy and be able to bail himself out in the morning and still go to work.
but I don't think we need that story you get the idea.

Trappers dropping the ball in that area.
A disease outbreak imminent there.

fur worth less than the gas to go check
cage traps only
filling the woods with houses
not in my backyard land owners

it all adds up to the worst thing for the animal , and they die of disease and go to waste
