Is it happening this election cycle? The last few elections there was a bunch of "better buy your gun/ammo now while you still can" talk, and panic buying that went along with it. I haven't heard as much of that sort of thing this time. What's up with that?

if it is I am not seeing it

when I was in some shops around the 22 of September more people seemed to be bringing in guns they wanted to sell than any mass buy

shelves were full of guns
decent amount of ammo

I was in Fleet Farm last week , no sign of any panic buy there , shelves have lots of ammo on them lots of guns in the racks

with the price of everything up and how many cycles of elections then the mass covid buy , people might just be stocked up or too broke to buy much

I don't think so. I can't imagine what's going to happen this election.... I'm really hoping for the best. I'm not worried about bans but I am worried about what will happen if either one wins/loses.

PSA's daily deals show no sign of panic buy

price and availability of Freedom Munitions shows no sign of any panic other than not offering free shipping at the moment.

I don't see it. Most shelves are well stocked at the stores I go to. Only thing short is large rifle primers and even seeing a few of those. If she wins it might change

One of the online dealers I buy from tried to stoke some panic buying in an email yesterday.

Otherwise, it's not as bad as past elections.

People can’t afford to panic buy in the democrat economy.

That is what I am seeing. I have seen more used guns for sale than in a long time because people need the money and are selling "toys".

I have nothing clever to put here.

After the last few rounds of panic buying I figure most should have enough by now. Like geez 1000rd of 5.56 @nd 9mm along with 50-100rd of everything thing else is probably colder to a life time supply for a large majority or people.. especially types that brag about only going through a box Evey few years.

Found an article about gun panic buying before elections and it says the same thing, that there hasn't been much.

Article

Gun purchases among lefties picked up a lot after the 2020 election ordeal.

The limit is only 1 deer here.

So...a box of ammo, is a 20yr supply.

I'll buy ammo before toilet paper. Thankfully I don't have to worry about that, yet...lol
