I use an Iray with 640 processor. A 300 yard shot with positive target ID is very doable

I've hunted with an old Russian sniper night vision on dogs for years then bought a Pulsar Monocular to use for spotting and then pickup with NV, night and day difference !! So purchased a Pulsar Thermion Dou, for night and day use, comes with a great rangefinder for night and day, you can identify to over 500 yards easily, I have not shot that far with it yet, don't usually try for them that far, and at night they come in easier any way.
I have other Night vison American made that are good, but won't be using them now any more, I'm seriously considering buying a Pulsar Bino set up as well, it's amazing what these can do during the day as well, the pick up on them at 2 to 3 hundred yards is amazing. Mine is on a 204 AR platform cause I stopped using my 22-250 for dog hunting since I got my 204 !!
No they are not cheap, but I can take off on my business license for having them, which saves a bit, I also bought them from Optics planet which sells them a bit off the Pulsar price's as well. Thermal used to be very expensive, but every year it has been coming done, doubt it will ever come down to the price of night vision for hunters though
However its a real game changer if you are going to using them regularly during fur season. My state has already outlawed them when hunting for big game though, can't even have them in your possession during legal hunt dates !!

Minnesota has also outlawed even the possession of them during big game season which I can see I have a AGM Rattler it not one of their top models but it does what I want it to do which is see and positive ID coyotes and foxes out to a couple hundred yards which it does just fine I have a couple of inferred night scopes but since I got the thermal they generally stay home even though they work just fine, thermal is definitely a game changer IMHO

Does anyone have any experience with thermal scopes, good or bad? Looking to make my first purchase and looking for help in making the decision. It will be going on a 22-250 for varmit hunting.
Thanks! Excellent for night hunting for coyotes and fox.
