Things are happening since my “The Only One Coming” thread.

When I swapped out the card on the camera at this scrape I put about 2 tablespoons of dominant buck urine in that scrape. Below is a 4 1/2 minute video of activity afterwards. Take note of the time signatures and who sticks around and who doesn’t. It does appear that we are not in full rut yet.

Hope you enjoy and let me know if you see something that is of interest.

I have a question, I noticed that not all of them worked the scrape. Are they too young to understand what they are supposed to do?

I assume they are approaching downwind from scrapes and already know who has used them.
By now all your local bucks have sorted themselves out and are well aware of their rank in the pecking order...no need for youngsters to advertise at this point.
You have a high proportion of young deer and not the best genetics on older buck.

No deer management here, crop damage is the reason. A lot of deer are killed prior to knowing what kind of genetics it possesses.

Prior to a couple days ago there was only one buck working that scrape. I’ve had a camera on it since I found it.
