Well, that brings joy to me. I still hunt geese in a blind in Leipsic. Rabbit hunt in Milford and flounder fish and crab in Indian River.


So, know when I’m out there, you’ll have a spot in my thoughts.

We used to eat breakfast in Smyrna at the Wagon Wheel before going to the blind, I thought they had the best pancakes in the world. 40+ years later my uncle still picks on me about the Wagon Wheel. Heck, I still hear about fishing at the power plant. I guess I thought that where all the fish were.
Its been years since I have been there, it had grown up so much. My grandfathers farm was off of Old Shawnee rd in Milford, that area is nothing but houses when it used to be chicken houses. My grandmas place was in Oak Orchard, I can only imagine that now.

Wagon Wheel is gone, I grew up just down the road from there. Their muskrat dinner was legendary.

Opening day of duck season for Delaware tomorrow. Another great week in the books.

Last few days of duck season have been less productive than desired. Did meet a new guy today that I ended up sharing a blind with this morning so will take that as a win. We saw a total of two ducks.

Fox and coyote trapping starts on the first!


Going to see about getting a couple deer next week.
