Did last couple gallons of waxed dirt this AM. Now I have about 35 gallons put up in clean milk jugs ready to go.

Also waxed a few canine traps in my old smart cooker filled with black trap wax.

And camo painted up my weasel boxes.

That was about last of prep I needed. I have 11 farms to hit this year and all scouted up last weekend.
Ready to rock and roll after Thanksgiving!

Jim

I made up a lot of DP bait and I’ve purchased my fav predator baits.
We had a frost this morning and man does that feel good.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Are there many weasels up there? I've seen 2 in my lifetime in SE Nebraska

Gary, it’s more of a quest for me. In over forty years of trapping I’ve never caught one. But I’ve seen them, I have neighbors and friends that have caught them, and couple other trappers around here have caught them and provided me with some tips.
So I keep setting long running weedy fencerows, cattail draws, ponds, brush piles near creeks, old barns, and culverts in fields. Sooner or later I hope I can get one. I’m out in these areas anyway trapping coyotes so might as well check a few boxes on my walks and checks.

Gotcha. I saw some out west around Holdrege and McCook but miles apart. Good luck!
