Pretty interesting. Takes an hour but I think from my own experience its accurate information.

can I sum this up why the recommendation is what it is , the food pyramid

Fat is expensive
protein is expensive

grain is cheap

if you make the recommendation for cheap grain , you can provide cheap grain.

is this a surprise when a major pharma company owns a major grain seed company that genetically modifies grains

if your fat you need more medicine and that brings more profit at both ends

how about the recent egg study

https://nypost.com/2024/09/25/lifes...-a-month-and-cholesterol-levels-dropped/

eat 720 eggs in a month , the thing they told you was going to kill you lowers your cholesterol the exact opposite what they said it did

C'mon Pete, reasoning and logic have no place in today's world, haha.

Every year my doc asks what I do to get the numbers I have. Eat protein (animal) and fat. Lift heavy.

mine was looking at my numbers , started giving me the usual speech sure we could improve my cholesterol as he was logging in and pulling it up

then he said , well , these are really good , keep doing what your doing.

Never use anything but real butter, that fake crap is just that , CRAP.
I eat the fat on my roasts or steaks , and have very low cholesterol numbers.
Family members that , cut off the fat and throw it away, have cholesterol problems.
Seems anything that's natural, is bad for you, lol so I just eat what I like and want, not worried about it.

Encouragement to people who are trapped in poor eating choices and already on pharmaceuticals is to gut the margarine, incorporate PREbiotic and bulk fiber and take a multivitamin. Especially high dose of vitamin C and reasonable D. And dump the Teflon!!

I hate that this is more likely the case with people just finding out this information. Because they have been fed garbage advice since the great depression ended. That generation was so glad to no longer have to struggle, they got dupped into canned food and refined sugar.
I definitely agree there is a "big pharma" but understand, there is also a " big natural"
Always follow the money.

. My dear friend, who's appointment I'm at right now, is one of these people. It's just too late.

She has eating habits that won't be reversed and has a very difficult time keeping good food down.

Here's the latest study results for high LDL and arterial plaque burden. Some of you folks already understand this.

Sugar and high simple carbs cause high cholesterol. Do a search on causes of high cholesterol. Shame the lies we have been told to keep pharma in business.

Sugar tastes great. Just control it. Eliminate high fructose corn syrup!!! It’s the devil on your pancreas.

Vegetable oil is not natural as a fat source. Fat is a natural fat. Duh!! Our bodies were made for it.

If you want to feel good do the caveman nutrition. If you can’t pick it or kill it you don’t eat it. And eat only what is in season if you want to get real serious.

Sugar is bad. HFCS is the devil!!

How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

Eggs good, eggs bad, eggs good again it’s hard to keep up. I’d say lean meats VS fatty meat are worlds apart but too much meat it thought to be bad for the brain it being a protein. Can’t say how many times a glass of wine a day is good then bad for a person over the years.

When it comes to the government I think back to paper bags were bad and plastic was the answer when that was total BS from day 1. LOL

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

I am not only not treating type 2 now but completely off blood pressure meds. At my checkup up thusrsday my A1C was 6.4. Not great but much better than when I was taking pills and insulin. Blood pressure was 125 over 75. No grain, no sugar, no potatoes. Doctor did not like it when I told her I wasn't avoiding salt. Eat home made salt cured bacon every morning. About a 1/4 pound. Eat lots of beef. Eat lots of eggs. When I eat chicken its leg quarters fried in either olive oil or bacon grease. Skin and all. I have lost close to 100 pounds. 16 pounds in the last six months. It came off fast at first but has slowed way down. I think when I get this last twenty off I will eat potatoes a few times a month and see how that goes. I eat very little fruit also. Almost none.

I have taken a statin (Lipitor) for 40 years. Got my numbers down to a better level than diet and exercise did. I also eat fat and butter.

If I could just do the same for my BP. It runs in good and bad cycles. Kidneys play a big part with our BP. I just have one. My cancerous one is somewhere in a landfill.

Herbal medicine is good for working with the body, but broken bodies need some sort of Pharmaca to stay functioning.

Only two things proven to cause cancer is cured meats and alcohol. (I do fib on the cured meats on occasion)

Thankfully, there are plenty of herbal medicines that will lower cortisol levels (stress) without the pickling effects of the liver from alcohol.

I am aware of the saying "un sought council is seldom heeded and often resented" but just in case, I figured I'll put information up. Seems there is no growth when everyone around you agrees with you.

Overall, I agree with just about anyone here. Minus the whisky. smile

No one ever talks about the effects of high protein in the kidneys with these new discovery diets. It really is important.

There is nothing new about eating exactly like we have been our entire time since creation except for recent history ( ie the last 400 years since more farming vs hunting and gathering) Processed food and all the sugar/ starche and grains are the new diet not the other way around.

I have not noticed any weight loss or other effects yet since I started cutting out carbs I wish I had weighed myself before hand. but I'm sure it having a positive effect. will see in about 5 weeks with my wife's labs. ( she needs the results and is less disciplined than I am so we will see)
