I've done and kilt my two Georgia bucks I'm allowed by law.....so, I'm not as aggravated as I would be if I was still in pursuit of antlers.

I agree, I have a week long hunting trip scheduled starting tomorrow, I have been looking forward to it since June when I made my plans, now with the weather being what it is going to be, I don't even really care whether I go or not. It's hard for me to get excited about deer hunting when you are in the stand in a t-shirt and sweat is running in your eyes. I had hoped for nice crisp fall weather, o well it is what it is and I will probably still have fun.

We at least have a breeze here. But yeah, pretty much in the same boat. Deer are moving, though

Snowing (wet snow) when I came in this aft.
I iove the fall wet snows,often see mink hunting as the first wet snows really gets them moving.
Will set a few mink boxes on the line tomorrow.

Same temps here and hasn't rained in months to speak of

I am leaving Thursday to go to the Gulf for a 3 day tuna trip and I hope when I get back it has rained. I have 2 food plots planted and they are like flour right now. 0 moisture in the ground

We haven’t had a rain here since Hurricane Helene's rain....a month ago.

Deer are in full rut here at the Ga-FL line, but most hunters are not as active as they would be if temps were lower.

Deer doggers are doing pretty good, even tho it's dry and dusty.

Only had pics of one of those I killed. The other one was a "freebie"...had no time invested in him.

I personally don't mind it this time of year, it's only for an hour or two, then it cools down. Here anyway.

Ground's so dry and hard here, I'm having to use rebar to make a pilot hole for to put the dog proofs in the ground. I had to get a 12x1" cabide tipped drill bit to get my wolf fangs in.
