Completely agree

It's funny, because in some ways the same issues we have today could be considered the same issues we had in our history. Snake oil and old wives tales. At the end of the day, the Bible gives us a lot of wisdom. Clean living and joy is very good for the body.

According to the bible King Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived. Had more wives than most cowboys have cows. He musta been something. I think trying to live with two women would be the end of me. I wonder what his diet was?

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Probably nothing but alcohol.

You have to remember life was a lot harder to live then also.
Weather was a major killer back then, as was lack of many kinds of protection from daily life.
I find it interesting that even then some people lived into their 80's and 90's.
An injury that you would of died from then, isn't as fatal today.

Solomon was given wisdom and riches but he turned aside to many " strange" women. You can know better and still not do better. wink
He probably not only drank tons of booze, but he also wrote one of the most pessimistic books in the Bible. " All is vanity...( Meaningless)" In Ecclesiastes he was a miserable man.

Probably my favorite book of the Bible, except Proverbs.
Lol

I lost 30 lbs by stopping surgery drinks, pasta, and bread. I did eat rice, sweet potatoes, broccoli, asparagus, and lots chicken breasts. Once in a while shrimp and red meat or pork chops.
