Those aren’t your new Hondas tracks are they? Looks friggin dicey!…lol
Open area trapping is basically anything that’s not governed by an RTL here. Just require a $10 license. Mostly southern Mb. in the circled area….

Jake that is similar to southern Ontario farm/private land I assume. Can only be trapped with permission of the landowner.Such licences here in Ontario are called resident trapping licences.Farmers can also trap and sell fur here without any licence on their own farm.
All of Ontario public land is someones registered trapline, many traplines have private land within their boundaries, and the private parts can only be trapped with permission from landowner, except any water on private land that can be accessed by water belong to the registered trapline trapper as far as the fur resource goes, even if someone else has the permission to trap the private land the water fur belongs to the registered trapper.

Jake that old trail is a winter trail only now.my bike ruts only go to the first beaver pond.Years ago I could ride the bike about 8 km to the end of that old winter logging road. Now only passable after freeze up since the beaver have taken it over. There is an old trappers cabin about 6 km up that trail, and west in the bush about 2 km.Havent been there in about 10 years.

Boco, if you do go back to that cabin, I would love seeing a shot of it . There are a few old cabins in Natl. Forest lands and wilderness areas here , they are interesting to see how well they were built , years ago.
