Saturday was a blast as my upland Christmas day began lol. Pheasant opener is very near and dear to my heart even if our numbers aren't what they once were

Then on Sunday, I slept in a bit (much needed), went to hang out with the fiancé's mother for her birthday, and decided to do a little afternoon jumpshooting. The ol' blazer is a bird magnet I guess... every time I drive her to the sloughs/ponds, I birds seem to fall from the air lol. However, my legs do hurt from crouch-walking fairly lengthy distances to sneak up on these birds.

Do you eat or mount these? I love eating bird and would probably really enjoy hunting them. When our buddy comes back with 60+ birds ... Uhg, I can't get into it. The cleaning process must be brutal. Obviously not pheasant. These are beautiful, though.

Looks like a great weekend

Nice!

The first bottles of Coca Cola contained 3.5 grams of cocaine. That's how our grandparents were able to walk to school uphill both ways in the snow.

Wood duck is delicious to me. One of the best tasting ducks in my personal opinion. I do have one in the freezer for the taxidermist though!
