Saw this on AR15.com. I don't agree with everything Reagan did but I sure miss a man like him in the Oval Office. Listen to the way he and Carson talked to each other. It was a more civilized time.

He Was a Great Man

Back then they focused more on what plans they had to improve the country rather than pointing out their opponent's faults as you see now. And it isn't just the presidential race, it's all the races federal and state. No wonder why so many people say they are sick of all the political ads running now.

For 95% of it they are the same. Same issues discussed, same solutions offered. Despite the passing of time, in general, same policies.

For those that were not around, the left were borderline apoplectic about prospect of this crazy cowboy Reagan having his finger on the nuclear button and getting us all killed. Same rhetoric, except with Trump it is a whole new level.

Where the two differ is personality. Reagan was the great communicator. Trump rubs people the wrong way.......and they can never get past it. The tonic that will 100% cure what ails them, but can't stand the taste so they refuse to swallow it.

If there was one famous person that I could have sat down for a long visit it would have been Regan. We would have hit it off very well I loved his demeanor and his ranch way of living outside of the public eye.

A very good leader and if you listen to him everyone could have learned something from him. IMO

life was a lot more civilized when the "loyal opposition" [read: Republicans] accepted their "assigned" role/lot-in-life; and didn't fight back.

it all changed when the Tea Party sleeping giant woke up and decided not to settle for constant losses.

Yep, Trump never won 49 States. Reagan was way more popular and more conservative.
