I don’t mind them at all. They keep the nasty stuff cleaned up and can survive the toughest winters with ease. I like watching them hunt mice and voles.

We have water in our pond --first in 2 years and the toads made a ''happy time', when the tadpoles turned into little toads the Magpies showed up, they weren't any other birds. The carcass pile always has a variety of birds, nor a raven or crow in sight for the toad feast!

Got a few here. Not like when I was a kid, though. They will eat almost anything, see them eating crab apples out of the tree most every morning this time of year.

They left my tomatoes and strawberries alone this year because the grasshoppers were crazy thick everywhere.
