More importantly, though, he works with the Animal Welfare Institute, and their stated goal is " reducing suffering inflicted on animals by humans".

He's still a good singer/songwriter, even if he's no friend of the trapper.

Sure he is liberal but it does not mean that he was not successful and he wrote many songs that others made into hits as well. He helped good song writers like Townes Van Zandt become well known, along with being a part of the highwaymen. Bryce
