We have some rain coming early next week, figured now would be a good time to get some pipe dream sets in. Trap fit into bed hole. Trap with screen in place and edges of hole punded in to pinch trap jaws. Trap blended and pipe added. Chain did get covered with packed dirt.

It works. Just like a 'chaff' or similar set in dead of winter. The thing to do if inches of snow is coming
TILL THAT DAY.....

I thought one of the main points of the set was to not bed a trap? The trap is supported by the levers only, with sides of the hole pounded in to pinch the outside of the jaws. If you look close at the first picture, you can see the cavity underneath the trap.

Dang a pipe dream try ...that's actually a pipe dream and not just a pvc coon set with a bigger trap Seriously though looks like you did about everything right. Would reccomended pound that pipe in a glass clump too. Great lil flat set Amen Wolfie. So many of the "pipe set" videos miss the entire point of the set. The pipe is in the edge of a clump, doesn't show up that will in the pic, with all the leaves around. Its on the edge of a tree line pass through between two ag fields.

First of all I didn't know your name is Kyle...second, why don't you bury your chain under the trap? Not a bash, just curious. Set looks good btw.

Set looks great but forgive my ignorance - what’s the connection between a pipe dream set and impending rain/snow? The hole below the trap prevents water touching the bottom and possibly freezing the trap. The screening as a trap cover allows rain to go through, not sitting on top of the trap, possibly freezing into a crust. The pipe keeps the bait above ground level, therefore not washing out when it rains, like a dirthole would.

I did put the chain in the hole on my other sets. Not sure why I didn't on this one. The soil here is dry as a popcorn fart and turns to powder when worked, not ideal for this type of set, but we have rain coming. I think I may have put the chain out there cause I was worried about pounding stakes in the bottom of the hole and collapsing the hole.

I see, dry here too, but rain on the way...just in time to trap!
