This my first trapping season and my goal is to get some beaver, muskrat, mink, fox, and maybe some yotes.
Right now I have some beaver and muskrat traps out.
so far I got 1 small beaver and 3 muskrat over the past week.

Built 2 muskrat floats today hopefully I'll be able to get them out tomorrow.

No beaver today but 2 nice muskrats in the floats I put out.

Anybody on here dry there muskrats fur out if not meant for selling?

Tried stretching one fur out since I'm keeping them for myself.

If you want them fur out,dry them fur in for a while then turn them fur out like other fur out skins.

Made some marten boxes today evening hopefully get them out over the weekend.

Good luck this weekend! Trigger shape and placement is a huge thing, every one does it differently. As long as you have a reason why you do it a certain way and it works. And they all will work…T, L, twisted, straight, V, broken, pan, even no trigger wires will all catch…lol
