Setup this mostly dry culvert for mink… used a 120 belisle.
Should I be worried about dogs? There’s no houses within like 400 yards so I’m legal. I personally think it’s fine but just want your thoughts hahah. Besides the whole dog thing, any criticism on the actual set? Used a keeper clip hammered into pipe to hold the trap.

If you are trapping mink and are worried about a dog messing with the trap you can use a non magnum bodygrip 120,like an old victor or bmi etc.They are weak enough that a dog could easily pull out and more than enough trap for Mink-also legal.Anchor the trap good.

No I just know there are dogs in the area, people do walk their dogs on that dirt road occasionally from what I know.

If its a blind set with no lure or bait I doubt any dog would even check it out.
Maybe if there is a dead mink in it,lol.

I always tell young trappers. Before you make a set stop and think about how the set could or will affect the trapping industry/public perception. Answer that and problem solved. Hope you have a great season

I wouldnt think a dog would be anything to worry about in that set but I can picture a Mink going right through the spread on those trigger wires.

I may try and fix those!
